We love the charm of the Bowery Inn and also being in the middle of Apalachicola.
Amazing place to stay. Its an old building but it's been remodeled inside and out. It's self check in and out with 4 bedrooms. The beds are super comfy and the inn is very clean. There are balconies with plenty of good views. It's walking distance to everything in Apalachicola. The have a Kureig with supplied k cups, a toaster oven, fridge stocked with water. You can place your items in the common fridge with your name on them. They have plastic silverware, plates, and bowls. It's the perfect place for couples to stay. I don't think I'd bring younger children though. We will definitely stay again.
Great no frills lodging. Very cute and we loved staying in a historic building. Also in a great location with walking distance of everything in downtown Apalachicola. Only negative was that the air conditioning was out due to lightening striking the building. Since we were there in June it was quite hot and the room got uncomfortably hot for a few days. Once they fixed the issue, everything was great.
Funky little self-catered inn. Quiet location right on the edge of downtown with a ton of character. Easy to walk all around town (all 6 blocks :). Nice view of Scipio Creek and the river from the wraparound porch on the 2nd floor. Like a vacation rental, so no maid service, no front desk staff, so not a lot of hand-holding, but a shared kitchen to make coffee and store stuff in the fridge, etc. It worked perfectly for us.
